DanNautic offers the possibility to have the Magnetic Compass Adjustment performed by Remote service World Wide as well.

The World Wide Remote Compass Adjustment Service is an extremely competitive offer, as the Compass Adjustment will be performed by the vessels Master according to guidance and advice by DanNautic, while the vessel is under way.                            Performing the Compass Adjustment via the Remote  Adjustment Service the time loss will be kept to a minimum for vessels schedule, and the only expense will be the Compass Adjustment guidance fee of 500-600 € (2021 charge)

Using the “Remote Magnetic Compass Adjustment Service” from DanNautic the master will receive a thorough and step by step guidance of the adjustment-process. Initial, some photos is required. These are photos of: The Serial Number, The type of Compass and Maker, The Binnacle, The Type and position of the Compensators. Besides these photos, further information’s are requested:  Gyro Error if any, Geographical Position where the adjustment is intended (to establish the World Magnetic Fields and variation), a Deviation Control, Weather Condition and Vessel’s Condition such as Cargo/Ballast.                                                                                              Receiving the information by e-mail DanNautic makes the needed calculations and guides the master to perform the adjustment. Subsequently a new Deviation Control has to be performed. The values of this Deviation Control are requested to be e-mailed back to DanNautic. If the result is acceptable (less than 3°) we will produce and issue the new Deviation Card including all needed data in a password protected locked pdf document. This final Deviation Card will then be e-mail to the vessel and the Company in CC.                                                                                                      All received data from the vessel, the company and the by Dannautic issued Deviation Table are filed and kept in case of any questions later may arise.
